This innovative, international art-film project is open to everyone in the world.
By yourself or with friends, make a short art-film (from one second to one minute in length, excluding credits), expressing how it feels to be alive in the universe.
And or, send us a favourite line of poetry, haiku or philosophical quote for inclusion in the project.
The theme, ALIVE in the UNIVERSE is especially pertinent now when people around the globe are experiencing unprecedented social, political and technological change, challenging our values, our creativity and our future. ALIVE in the UNIVERSE brings us together as one human race in a fascinating universe.
All films will be screened at the Aldeburgh Beach Lookout during 2018 (this ancient Suffolk Lookout is a catalyst for challenging, innovate 21st century ideas); selected films will be screened at the Bermondsey Project Space (a contemporary art gallery in London, SE1 3UW) during 2018, and selected art-films at the Palazzo Pesaro Papafava in the heart of Venice, during the Venice Biennale in May, June 2019. We are planning more screenings around the world for future years.
All digital video formats are welcome, preferably in 16:9 or square ratio.
There is an admin fee of £20 per film for UK entries, payable online
Be sure to include your own name in the file name and include any other info (such as the title of the film, collaborator credits, release/permission forms etc) in a separate text file or covering note
